Kyle Moody is the mastermind behind “Moody’s Garage.” Born and raised in Parsons, Kansas, he now
lives in Overland Park, Kansas. He has
spent a lot of time in the custom car and motorcycle scene and has built
several custom cars and bikes over the years.
After working in the Graphic Design field for over 12 years,
he decided it was time to really fuel his passion for creating his own works of
art. He works mainly with leather and
metal and the items he creates are simply mind-blowing. All self-taught , he uses old world
blacksmith and saddle-building techniques making them his own. Every piece is custom designed and made from
scratch. He uses all metals including
copper, brass, iron and stainless to forge his custom metal work. Kyle can take a single piece of metal and
turn it into the most beautiful creation and his leather works are out of this
world.
From awesome metal flowers and sculptures to custom designed
wallets, motorcycle seats and hardware…he does it all. All of the tooled leather graphics are
custom designed by Kyle and each item is hand stitched. He loves making one off items made to
order.
Sometimes he mixes the metal and leather worlds and the
results are breathtaking. He hand forges
all of the money clips for his custom made wallets and together, he and his
wife, make chainmaille chains to go with
them.
Kyle has a passion for art and creating one of-a-kind
pieces. His takes pride in his
attention to details and it shows in his work.
He is an amazing artist with true talent.
His work has been featured in galleries and various
publications, and he was even part of a reality show called “Raising the Bar”,
where he and his team showed their skills by creating a transforming bar
out of the front end of a 1953 Chevy
car.
