Steve Simpson's "Dark Horse" Backrest

I am honored to be a part of Steve Simpson's great adventure in the Motorcycle Cannonball Race 2012, http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com/ , by building this adjustable backrest for his 1928 Harley Davidson, the Dark Horse #6. I was also involved in the design of his DarkHorse6 logo. I had a great time working with Steve over the last few months on this project, and can't wait to follow his adventure in the race! And you can too at http://darkhorse6.com/ .

I hand built this backrest from scratch, starting with the design to the finished product you see in the pictures..with the exception of 1 clip, 2 roll pins, and  4 washers..Also Performance Plating of Olathe KS nickel plated the adjustment knob, and Nick Potter in Kansas City KS Powder coated the attachment bracket.
